Ariane Riddell

Dogs have always been a part of Ariane’s family life. Growing up on a farm in Southwestern Manitoba taught her the strengths of being attentive, caring, and compassionate to the needs of animals. She experienced the worry of leaving her dog Kola at home for long periods of time while she was away at work. She started Walk the Walk in Brandon, Manitoba to provide you with the peace of mind of knowing your family dog is happy and healthy. She believes in using only positive reinforcement training methods with the dogs in her care and teaching only the same to her clients. Ariane is committed to pursuing ongoing education and professional development in order to provide your family dog with the best possible care.

TESTIMONIALS

Crysler Jamieson & Rider

Ariane from Walk the Walk is the ultimate dog whisperer! My golden retriever, Rider, loves her and Ariane provides me with peace of mind knowing my baby is in good hands. Rider is also in obedience school and it is great knowing that when Ariane is with Rider, she is reinforcing what has been taught to her in school. It’s like having an extra class for Rider every week. I would highly recommend her services to any dog family who wants a caring conscientious individual to walk their doggy.

Ariane reached out to me when she was in Toronto getting certified through the dog*biz Dog Walking Academy, which is a prestigious and forward-thinking accreditation program. I was impressed that Ariane connected with me, an experienced dog walker, for hands-on experience and guidance. She shadowed me on some on-leash and off-leash group walks as well as one-on-one walks with fearful and reactive dogs and all along the way Ariane asked me thoughtful questions and put her knowledge to perfect practical use. Ariane is a very warm and caring person who understands how dogs learn and knows how to modify and manage dog behaviour using force-free scientific methods. Because she manages her own dog's reactivity she has a lot of empathy and expertise for working with dogs who need management for behavioural issues. Ariane's gentle guidance and warm approach make her well suited to working with dogs and she's particularly skilled at maintaining a calm behaviour and bringing out confidence in shy dogs. I highly recommend Ariane's services!
