Let’s train together! I can help you make life with your dog the best it can be. As Your Personal Dog Trainer, I will help you manage your environment to prevent and stop unwanted behaviours from happening as well as train your dog to do the behaviours you want them to do. By training with me your frustration and embarrassment about your dog’s unwanted behaviours will turn into relief and pride about all the impressive behaviours your dog can do!
My dogs live in a world of “yes!” That is the word marker I use with Kola and Hobbes to let them know they “got it right” and they deserve a reward. This is also my approach to dog training. When I train with a dog there is a dialogue back and forth – a fair exchange of give and take. There is no hierarchy of “do this or else!” because that would mean the relationship would be all one sided. I want to build a relationship that allows the dog to express their individual personality and intelligence. Dogs deserve the freedom to make choices that result in their lives being the best they can be.
Scientifically sound, humane non-aversive R+ positive reinforcement Force Free training methods work by giving dogs a choice and rewarding the dog for getting it right. By training your dog to know cues you can create a way to communicate back and forth. Dogs first learn to speak body language from each other and they are reading our actions all the time – that’s how they know exactly when it’s supper time or time to go for a W-A-L-K! By teaching dogs a few English words and body signals of our own, we can communicate with them as individuals, understanding how to make their lives better.
Cue based training allows you to see your dog’s behaviour as a way of communicating with you and that makes it easier to solve problems and satisfy your dog’s every need. As Your Personal Dog Trainer, I can help you learn how to communicate with your dog. The best part of dog training is how it helps build a relationship with your dog, increasing the bond you have together!

Dogs can be taught to be happy, healthy family pets without the use of aversive methods.

"Ariane greatly improved my two dogs walking habits;
she taught both me and my two how to better handle walks.
Dogs were in better shape and more energetic.
They also behaved a lot better after proper training!"
Cody Ratson, Cassie, and Eiosa
"Ariane from Walk the Walk is the ultimate dog whisperer! My golden retriever, Rider, loves her and Ariane provides me with peace of mind knowing my baby is in good hands. Rider is also in obedience school and it is great knowing that when Ariane is with Rider, she is reinforcing what has been taught to her in school. It’s like having an extra class for Rider every week. I would highly recommend her services to any dog family who wants a caring conscientious individual to walk their doggy."
I met Rider in puppy class! Here she is going for a walk after a rain shower. Such a beautiful girl!
Let’s work together in a Small Group Class or One on One to train your dog to do the behaviours you want and generalize them into the real world. It is so rewarding to help people build good relationships with their dogs by training together!
